Packaging Materials
- Almost plastic-free: The majority of our packaging is completely free of plastic. Our products come in eco-friendly cardboard packaging that is recyclable and has minimal environmental impact.
- Soap packaging: Our solid soaps are wrapped in a thin plastic film for hygiene reasons. However, we are actively working on finding a more sustainable alternative.
- Liquid soaps: These are packaged in PET containers. PET is lightweight and shatterproof, making it a safe choice for bathroom use.
- Beard shampoo: Unlike our liquid soaps, our beard shampoo comes in high-quality glass bottles for an even more sustainable approach.
Glass or PET: A Conscious Compromise
We acknowledge that our choice between glass and PET is not entirely consistent. Each material has its own advantages and disadvantages:
- Glass: Premium quality, fully recyclable, but heavier and more fragile.
- PET: Lightweight, safe, and recyclable, particularly suitable for wet environments like bathrooms.
This compromise reflects our approach of balancing sustainability with practicality and safety. However, we remain open to innovations and regularly evaluate new, more eco-friendly solutions.
Our Sustainability Goals
- Reduction of plastic: Although we are already almost plastic-free, we continue to actively seek alternatives for the remaining plastic components, such as soap packaging.
- Promotion of recycling: Our packaging is designed to be easily recyclable, and we encourage our customers to dispose of materials responsibly to support the recycling process.
- Introduction of refill packs: We are currently developing refill options for some of our products to further reduce packaging waste and increase the longevity of our containers.
- Strengthening transparency: We openly communicate the challenges and progress on our journey to becoming an even more sustainable brand.
